Damla Mısırlısoy was born in 1986 in Nicosia. She completed her primary,
secondary, and high school education in Nicosia. She has a Bachelor degree in
Architectural Programme, a Master degree in Architectural Program and Ph.D. in
Architecture from Eastern Mediterranean University, Department of Architecture. She
continued her studies as a visiting researcher at Politecnico di Milano in Italy between
2013-2014. She became an Assistant Professor in 2017 and an Associate Professor in
2023. She worked as a faculty member at the European University of Lefke between
2018-2025. She has contributed national and international journals and conferences
with numerous papers. Her academic achievements have been awarded and have been
widely cited on the Web of Science platform. She specializes in the conservation and
reuse of historical buildings. She currently works as a faculty member in Near East
University, Faculty of Architecture.
