Dr. Shabnam Golkarian was born in Tabriz, Iran. She graduated with honors from the Faculty of
Architecture - Department of Interior Design at Girne American University in 2013, receiving a Bachelor
of Science in Interior Design. In 2017, she completed her postgraduate education and obtained a master's
degree in the field of Architecture from Near East University. She received the title of M.A. with honors.
From 2017 to 2021, while pursuing her Ph.D. in the field of Architecture, she worked as a part-time
lecturer in the Architecture and Interior Architecture department and also worked in international student
affairs at Near East University since 2017. Finally, in 2021, she obtained her Doctorate title and is now
teaching full-time at Near East University in the field of Architecture and Interior Architecture at both
undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
